“IB PYP” Program

The curriculum at Oxbridge International School differs greatly from other educational programs as it prioritizes the development of critical thinking skills and the ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations. Our IB PYP program follows a transdisciplinary model of learning and teaching, emphasizing inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches. We have carefully designed our curriculum to create an educational environment that is ideal for an IB education, taking into consideration how students learn and ensuring a strong foundation for their growth.

At Oxbridge International School, our PYP program empowers students to develop knowledge, understanding, skills, and the attributes of an IB learner profile, enabling them to make a positive impact in their own lives, communities, and beyond. Students are encouraged to be adaptable and imaginative in responding to unexpected challenges and opportunities, taking action for a better and more peaceful world. The PYP fosters independent and collaborative learning, giving each student a voice, choice, and ownership in their education. Through the transdisciplinary nature of the program, students are able to make connections across different subjects. Our dedicated teachers design purposeful learning experiences that allow students to engage, explore, inquire, and think critically before drawing conclusions. They create a variety of learning opportunities, both individual and group-based, to ensure that students can learn in the way that suits them best.
At Oxbridge International School, we prioritize English education as it is essential in today's world. Our students learn in an international setting where the majority of subjects are taught in English by teachers from around the world. We have a gradual approach to help students transition from their native language to English. In line with the IB philosophy, which values the acquisition of multiple languages, we offer Uzbek, Russian, Spanish, and French as part of our core curriculum, and Arabic as an extracurricular program.

At Oxbridge, our focus is on lifelong learning and we believe in creating a community that values learning together in an environment of respect, unity, and open conversation. Integrating the IB Learner Profile qualities into our educational programs is a key aspect of our teaching and learning approach. We view school education as an opportunity to learn essential life skills such as effective communication and teamwork, which complement our curriculum. Additionally, fostering strong communication between parents and the school is of utmost importance to us.
We hold the belief that each student possesses their own individuality and is deserving of special care. To achieve this, we establish a strong connection between our faculty, department heads, and the school's learning support department in order to provide personalized attention. By doing so, we enable our teaching community to comprehend and address the unique requirements of each student within the school environment. The outcome of this collaboration is the implementation of learning support lessons that encompass supplementary programs in mathematics, English as a Second Language (ESL), speech therapy, and reading.
